Signal films Frank Turner at Get it Loud in Libraries

Signal was commissioned by Get it Loud in Libraries to train two film and media students, from Blackburn, the skills involved in creating a behind the scenes film along with interview skills. The participants were then given the chance to record the Library gig from start to finish. With help from our Project Assistant Steph Bryant the youngsters interviewed the popular folk/rock singer Frank Turner, in the amazing Liverpool Library building.

Over the last 9 years the Get It Loud In Libraries live programme has drawn an audience of over 28,000 people into libraries across the UK. Through live music, it has created exciting opportunities for young people to lead, participate, volunteer and excel in artistic and cultural activity. They allow people to build a career CV whilst having fun with friends.

Corey and Austin, the brilliant participants who got this amazing chance to practice their camera skills loved every minute of the workshop and are using the footage to edit their own version for their final college project. Good luck boys!

GILIL have been shortlisted from a list of 600 to the next stage of 14 contenders in the National Lottery Awards. We would like to wish them good luck for the next round.
