Signal will be running digital media workshops with a group of local 16 to 19 year olds on our Get Digital project, kindly funded by the Sir John Fisher Foundation, Francis C Scott Charitable Trust and Esmee Fairbairn Foundation. The group will learn a range of filmmaking, digital and leadership skills from visiting industry professionals through a series of masterclasses, workshops and talks. The project will culminate in a fantastic weekend-long short film shoot, where the participants will shadow filmmaker mentors. Lat year’s Get Digital

finished film, If England, was set in a dystopian parallel Britain torn apart by civil conflict. The idea was developed by participants and cast with professional actors in the main parts. It features the acting talents of Des O’Malley (Hollyoaks) and Sophie Mercer (River City).
