We’re taking part in a national celebration of arts and science and will be holding a Fun Palace for the whole Community at the Cooke`s Studios, across the road from Barrow-in- Furness train station, on Saturday 4th October AT 11am-4pm.
Fun Palace 2014 is part of a collaboration of events taking place throughout the UK. Everyone is welcome to come along and join in the fun activities that we’ve been busy planning for the past couple of months. Explore the magical world of still and moving image!
All activities are free and there will be a variety of workshops including making your own pinhole camera, experimenting with digital video, creating a sun print, trying out a green screen, building a zoetrope or experiencing the delights of a camera obscura. All are welcome to participate.
This will be a fun opportunity for people within the community to engage with both the creative and scientific aspects of still and moving image – feel free to come along to watch or to participate!
