MARCH 2009-SIGNAL FILMS WINS INSTITUTE OF DIRECTORS/DAILY MAIL ‘ENTERPRISING YOUNG BRITS’ AWARD

SIGNAL won praise from Chancellor of the Exchequer Alistair Darling at a prestigious national awards ceremony at the Institute of Directors in London. Kerry was awarded the prize for the Social and Community category at the Daily Mail Enterprising Young Brits Awards 2009.

It was funded by the government’s ‘Make Your Mark’ scheme which highlights the UK’s freshest entrepreneurial talent. The high profile awards, sponsored by the Institute of Directors and the Daily Mail, honoured the best business men and women aged 30 and under and Kerry had to pitch against three other UK companies to a ‘Dragon’s Den’ board and answer questions on why her business should win.

The winners were picked by a distinguished panel, including the head of the IoD, the Daily Mail’s City Editor Alex Brummer and ‘Secret Millionaire’ TV entrepreneur Caroline Marsh.
