FREE Sound workshop with Octopus

Saturday 25th November, 10 am – 5 pm  / Meet at Signal Film and Media at 10 am.

Barrow-based sound art and music organisation Octopus Collective will be running a special ‘Market Sounds’ workshop at Barrow Market.

The day will involve a ‘sound walk’ and creative sound recording techniques to create new soundscapes of Barrow’s Market. 

We will also imagine how the sound of Barrow Market has changed over the years by imagining what it may have sounded like in the past; horses, market criers, bells and clogs may have been some of the more usual sounds found on the market 100 or even 50 years before.
