Just Before Dawn starring Vicky McClure (This Is England ‘86) and Natalie Press (My Summer of Love) is Loren’s most recent film as Writer/Director commissioned by the UKFC Digital Shorts scheme. The short film was nominated for Best British Short at the Edinburgh International Film Festival 2010.

Vicky McClure, who stars in Just Before Dawn, won the BAFTA for Best Actress for her TV role as Lol in the Channel Four Shane Meadows drama ‘This is England ’86’.

The Nottingham-based actress, who was up against Natalie Press (also her co-star in Just Before Dawn), Anna Maxwell Martin and Juliet Stevenson for the award, said she felt “numb” with shock after winning.
