Who are we looking for?
Anyone who shares our love of film, photography and the arts, would like to meet new people, develop new skills and be closer to our unique arts and heritage programme in Barrow-in-Furness.

What do Signal Film & Media volunteers do?

Our volunteers contribute in many ways, from greeting visitors to our exhibitions to supporting our projects with artists. With some volunteers helping across all our projects and others passionate about specific heritage projects, we work closely with all our volunteers to create a volunteer role that’s best suited to you and you’re interests!

We have a team of dedicated volunteers working closely with the Sankey Photography Archive, who are currently creating a Sankey Podcast and publication! Our Gallery volunteers help us look after our programme of art exhibitions and welcome visitors. Volunteers also help support our range of events and community engagement at events like Barrow Pride, Barrowfull’s Playcations and more.
