THE RUM STORY, WHITEHAVEN
Learn the basics of stop-motion animation and create an animated portrait of Cumbria’s West Coast with Visual Artist, Jocelyn McGregor. Taking inspiration from the unique and diverse coastline of Cumbria -from the harbours and rocky beaches, to the wildlife and the world’s largest wind farm- you will design and create your very own stop-motion animated sequence. All the sequences produced will then come together to form a dynamic portrait of Cumbria’s West Coast.
Jocelyn McGregor is a sculptor originally from Cumbria. She studied her BFA in Fine Art from the Ruskin School of Fine Art, Oxford University; and an MFA in Sculpture from the Slade School of Fine Art, UCL.
