LABOURING THE LANDSCAPE
This showcase brings together the perspectives of eighteen local people from across the West Coast. The work was made between January and March 2020, through workshops led by Photographer Robert Parkinson which took place in Barrow-in-Furness & Whitehaven. With newfound skills in photography, the groups set out to chart the landscape of the region while expanding on what it means to the people that live there.
To accompany this online exhibition, a series of photographs from the project are on display in the windows of Cooke’s Studios, Barrow-in-Furness from 3rd —23rd June . More information about this outdoor exhibition can be found here.
