WE WON!

We’re delighted to announce that Signal Film and Media is the proud winner of the Photography / Filmmaker of the Year Award as part of the Cumbria Life Arts and Culture Awards which took place at the Rheged Centre in Penrith on 8th June 2019!

39 finalists were chosen to represent the best of our county’s arts culture from hundreds of entries! The finalists were invited to a drinks reception and were welcomed by Cumbria Life’s editor Michaela Robinson-Tate. Our Co-Director Loren Slater collected the award for Signal Film and Media at the event.

There were 14 categories as part of the awards night, which began in 2015 to “celebrate Cumbria’s world-class, vibrant arts scene.”  The event is supported by Arts Council England and the University of Cumbria. The judges were Jane Beardsworth (Arts Council England), Roddy Hunter (University of Cumbria) and Mary Ingham (Cumbria Life Arts Editor).

Categories: visual arts and design, music making and live performance, photography and writing, community and partnership, and venues, events and exhibitions.

We’d like to thank Cumbria Life magazine and Arts Editor Mary Ingham for all her support. For more information on the event, grab yourself a copy of the July 2019 issue! http://www.cumbrialife.co.uk/
