Nicky will guide you around our exciting new exhibition as you explore her commissioned work.

Nicky is an artist whose work investigates the contemporary relevance of found photographs, and latent histories of specific sites, investigating how they remain resonant.

‘Going Through the Mill’ will feature never before-seen photographs of the Barrow Paper Mills, alongside new artworks created and coordinated by artist Nicky Bird in collaboration with Sankey Volunteers, the women’s history group and former Barrow Paper Mill workers.
