Inside,

7m: 22s

This was the 5th edition of BFI Film Academy running at Signal Film and Media in Barrow-in-Furness. 18 young people aged 16-19 were offered a 10-week long intense filmmaking course led by industry professionals.

Participants developed and produced the film “Inside”, a thriller that reveals a moment in time, when a young woman finds herself trapped in an unconscious otherworld, following a tragic and all-too-modern distraction.

The film stars Kirsty Armstrong (E4, My Big Fat Diary). We were fortunate to have successful commercial and narrative director Ben Salavati come along as one of our Industry mentors, encouraging the young filmmakers to push themselves creatively.

Filmmaking Mentors: Emma Dalesman, Jack Coghill, Sue Everett, Sam Harrie, Rachel Capovila, Roy Stafford, Emily Aspland, Stephanie Bryant, Tilly Steel and Richie Howie.
