Described by Soulby’s Ulverston Advertiser and General Intelligencer on Thursday 19th September 1907 as; ‘Another addition to the many sad and distressing stories where a man allows his love for a woman to get the best of his reason and brings the affair to a shocking climax by the taking of life’.
